The Mustang Soccer Competitive Select Program is a competitive level where qualified volunteer coaches choose teams in a draft following tryouts in which any interested and eligible player may participate. The head coach is a parent volunteer who has been interviewed, certified, and approved by Mustang Soccer based on their experience, licenses, background checks, etc.

This program would not be possible without our volunteer parent coaches who dedicate their time to our players every season.

Anyone interested in being a volunteer parent coach must fill out and submit a coaching application. Volunteer coaches who apply by the deadline will be contacted and interviewed by our Competitive Committee prior to coach selections being made. Applications for the 2026 season must be submitted by Friday, March 6th.

NEW THIS SEASON:

• Mustang now requires that all Competitive Select head coaches obtain a coaching license/certificate. At a minimum, to coach you must complete the free online Introduction to Grassroots Coaching Course and one online Grassroots 7v7, 9v9, or 11v11 course on the US Soccer Digital Coaching Platform.
