REFEREE INFO

Mustang Soccer is fortunate that many licensed officials choose to assign themselves to referee our games. But there is still a shortage! We want to increase the number of qualified match officials and ask you to commit a small amount of time to become a licensed U.S. Soccer referee.
Referee Requirements
Below are the minimum requirements to become a referee. You can learn more at CNRA.net
• Minimum Age – 13
• Previous Game Experience – Not Needed
• Educational Training – Online Module + Field Session
Additionally, to be certified all referees will need to pass the following requirements:
• SafeSport Training
• Intro to Health & Safety
• Background Check
• Introduction to Safe and Healthy Playing Environments
US Soccer Training
The US Soccer training season begins July 1, and after obtaining your license, is valid until December 31 of the following year.
Mustang hosts field sessions. Please choose a date and click on the associated link to register. Links will be posted the first week of July. You will then be able to complete the required online assignments and attend the field training.

There is approximately 5 - 8 hours of pre-work that needs to be completed prior to the field session, so get started early.
