The 30th ANNUAL MUSTANG STAMPEDE is a Division I, US Club sanctioned soccer tournament for girls U9 to U18/19. USYSA and all USSF Affiliates are welcome; including International FIFA teams (see www.usclubsoccer.org.) Mustang Soccer Club is the #1 ranked girls soccer club in Northern California and the #2 ranked girls soccer club nationwide.  Mustang Soccer is also home to numerous State Champions and top Nationally ranked teams.

This Premier Elite tournament, played in the San Francisco Bay area, will host some of the nation’s best U9 to U18/19 teams. 

Age groups U9 and U10 will play August 8th-10th, U11 to U14 will play from August 7th-10th; while age groups U15 to U19 will play from August 8th-11th.

Tournament fields will include 6 regulation synthetic fields as well as a multitude of natural turf facilities.  The new $10 million Mustang Soccer Complex in Danville has been completed and will be used.

Application:
The online application is the only method of applying, and can be found at the “Application” tab of our tournament website.  Scheduling will be performed utilizing E7 Sports software.  Information regarding the US Club Hosting Document may be found under the “Hosting Tab”.

Credit cards will be the only accepted payment method for application fees.  No funds will be charged or checks deposited until acceptance into the tournament.  If a team absolutely needs to pay by check, then you can do so by contacting Fred Wilson at fredwilson@mustangsoccer.com to make this arrangement.

Tournament Web Site:
This web site shall be the final reference for all schedules, scores, rules, policies and procedures. Any conflicts between this site and other published information shall default to this site.  The Stampede Tournament Committee maintains the right to independently make new rules or regulations on the web site at anytime.

Late Registration:
Teams applying after June 15th, 2008 will be assessed a $50.00 late fee and be placed on a waiting list. Credit cards will be the only accepted form of payment for late registration.  It is at the sole discretion of the Stampede Tournament Committee to offer placement into the Tournament.  If acceptance does not occur, the late fee will not be refunded.

Refunds will be made to all teams not accepted (credit cards will not be charged and/or checks will be returned.)
Teams withdrawing from the tournament must send an email to fredwilson@mustangsoccer.com   prior to June 15th, 2008. 

**Refunds will be provided to teams that withdraw from the Tournament prior to the June 15th deadline, net of a $50 withdrawal charge.

Teams that drop after the June 15th deadline will forfeit their entire application fee!!!

Tournament or Game Cancellation:
A cancellation fee of one-fifth of the entry fee will be withheld from each team's refund if the tournament is canceled as a result of weather, acts of terrorism or acts of God after June 22nd, 2008 and up to the conclusion of the Tournament. The Tournament Director or Tournament Referee may suspend a tournament match for any circumstance in consideration of player safety or potential field damage.

PLEASE READ AND UNDERSTAND THE FOLLOWING:
All applicants will be approved or denied acceptance by the Stampede Tournament Selection Committee based on national ranking bodies and team performance records, with priority acceptance given to teams with strong results in State, Regional and National Cup Tournaments.  It is at the sole discretion of the Tournament Selection Committee which teams are accepted and what brackets to establish.

Teams from outside Northern California can request early acceptance into the Tournament upon completion of their application and receipt of their payment (please contact the Tournament Director/Coordinator).  The Tournament Director will have the sole authority regarding the acceptance status of any team. 

Mandatory Registration (Check-in) for all teams will be as follows:

U9 - 14    Thursday, August 7th  9am - 11am, Mustang Soccer Complex

U15 - 19  Friday, August 8th  9am - 11am, Mustang Soccer Complex

Games will begin the afternoon of check-in day.

Details of the check-in will be broadcast by general e-mail to all accepted teams.  Check-in can be facilitated by any team representative.  Teams must provide the required credentials including signed medical release forms and birth certificates.  All US Club affiliated teams must provide laminated US Club Play I.D. Cards and Rosters as well as a standard letter of affiliation and good standing on US Club Soccer letterhead.  All USSF affiliated teams must provide Player I.D. Cards with photographs.  Teams from outside CYSA-North (USYSA) or international teams must also provide approved travel papers, which must include a roster listing all players authorized to travel by that team’s State or National Association.  Mixing of affiliation per team is not allowed.

Maximum Number of Players: Teams may register a maximum of sixteen (16) players for age groups U9 and U10 and eighteen (18) players for age groups U11-U19. 

Loaned Players:  A team may use up to seven (7) guest players for all age groups.  Proper player loan forms will be required at Registration along with other required credentials as required by the team’s National or State Association.

Minimum Players: U9 and U10 teams must have a minimum of 6 players to start a game and play an 8v8 format with no exceptions. U11 and older teams must have a minimum of 7 players to start a game. Failure to provide these minimums at game time will result in a forfeit.

Games:  Each team is guaranteed three games. There will be quarterfinals. Pool play determines the quarter-finalists. The length of games will range from 50 to 70 minutes for preliminary play (50 minutes for U9 and U10; 60 minute games for U11-14; and 70 minutes for U15-19).  All championship games will be at regulation times or slightly modified based on the tournament schedule.

Bracketing: It is the intent of the tournament to bracket in flights of 8, 12 or 16 teams. Variations may occur based on total teams applying to the Tournament or subsequent team withdrawals. There will be no compensation for the loss of a game due to a team forfeiting or dropping from the Tournament.

Hotels:
Tournament rules require all teams staying overnight to book hotel rooms from our list of contracted hotels.  Any team found booking rooms on an individual basis or outside of the contracted hotel list will risk being ejected from the Tournament.

1.     Contracted hotels will not make reservations until a team has been accepted into the tournament.  Early accepted teams from outside Northern California will have priority.

2.     Once a team has been accepted, the team travel coordinator will be granted access to the Tournament Acceptance & Hotel Confirmation page on this website.  Upon submitting the acceptance form to the selected hotel, the travel coordinator can make reservations according to that hotel's requirements (i.e. rooming list, minimum night's stay, one night deposit, etc.).

3.     If room blocks are sold out per the list of hotels on this website, please contact the Tournament Director of Hospitality.
