Welcome to DIVISION 4

2009 LEAGUE CHAMPIONS

2009 PLUS LEAGUE CHAMPIONS

DIVISION 4 OVERVIEW:

Division 4 is the recreational division comprised of White (U6-U19) and White Plus (U10-14).

White Plus players need to sign up for White Plus ($250) in addition to registering with the League ($225). See "2010 Levels of Play" on the Registration page under Related Links for a program description.

In Division 4 U6-U8 are age pure. Starting with U10 two age groups play together (i.e., U9 & U10 play together under U10). So after U8 your player will play two seasons in the same age group.
The only way you can guarantee that your player will be on a specific team is to sign up to be one of the two assistant coaches allowed each head coach.
Trainers for Division 4 White Plus begin the first week of August.
Practices for Division 4 White begin the week of August 16 or potentially one week earlier.

League games start on Sat. Aug. 28th for Div. 4 White U6-14.
League games start on Sat. Sept. 11th for Div. 4 White U16 and Div. 4 White Plus.

NO GAMES ON LABOR DAY WEEKEND.

Practice schedules are picked by the head coach to facilitate his/her schedule. In early August, after you are contacted by your coach with your player's team assignment - you will be informed of the team's practice schedule.

DIVISION 4 :

Eye Safety: Players who must wear eyeglasses should first try to wear
sports goggles. Players must wear glasses that are safe. Lenses must be unbreakable and frames must be unbreakable plastic. Thin wire framed glasses may not be worn.

Play Time:  Every player in Division 4 with 50% attendance at practices (1 practice) during the week prior to a game is to play at least 50% of that game.  Players with less than 50% attendance during the week prior to a game may have their playing time limited to less than 50% of the game, but only in extreme circumstances.  Every attempt should be made to give a minimum of 50% playing time to that player.  This is recreational soccer and each player should be instilled with the love of the game and not discouraged for events that are typically out of their control!

UNDERSTANDING THE OFFSIDES RULE:

A description of the offside's rule is on page 24 and diagrams and case studies are on pages 40 to 50.
